Education is a social process. Education is growth. Education is not a preparation for life; education is life itself.

~ John Dewey

Our simple educational philosphy: we learn as we live and we celebrate what we learn!

Structure Testing

We assembled this structure that was supposed to weigh under 22 g but ended up weighing more and it had to hold as much weight as possible in 2 different directions -- you could add weight after 4 seconds. This is the tester that we used to place weight on top of the structure. It held 356 pounds for 20 minutes before it collapsed. Here are some pictures. We are going to test more structures to see what construction method works best.

Construction

We are working on building a structure that can hold a lot of weight in two different orientations. We are not allowed to get help from anyone on this. We built this structure. So far it has held 100 lbs in both directions. It weighs 120 grams and it is made of balsa wood. The picture below is the tester we have used.
