This Month is Word Art Month

The Doodle 4 Google Contest was this month and prompted the girls to pick doodles as their daily activity this month. Here are some of their recent doodles:

Every month we pick something to do every day. This month it is watercolors. Here are some of them.

Similes

In our cleaning frenzy, we came across November's 30 day project. Wondering what that is? Well, starting in August, each month the girls did a project that was something they had to do every day all month. In August, they did a journal entry a day. In September, they did a photo a day. In October, they did a sketch a day (I think we may have posted some of these). In November, they did a simile a day. We took December off. In January, they have been working on a poem a day. So, here are some of the best of the girls' similes from November.

3. Reading books fills me up like a bowl of chili.
4. I was wound up like a coil.
5. The memories flipped through my mind like a slideshow.

The girls are 3 days in and the word count is: H 4443 and T 4575. The goal for all participants is 50,000 words in a month.

Writing a Novel

Today is the day. We start our first novel today. It's going to be a busy month. We need to write between 1500 and 2000 words a day! Every day!
