Educational Philosophy

Education is a social process. Education is growth. Education is not a preparation for life; education is life itself.

Fun Experiment on Memory

Click on the link above. C got 100% Recognition score (avg is 92%) and 83% temporal memory score (avg is 68%). T got 87% and 85%. H got 100% and 79%. Gram got 92% and 63%. Interesting. We have no idea what that all tells us! If you know, let us know and leave a comment.

Follow up: Here are our stats so far, we are still trying to figure out if there is a pattern. Let us know what your scores are or if you think you see a pattern/explanation, leave a comment and let us know. We think we maybe need more data to draw any real conclusions!

Age Sex Recognition Temporal

14 F 87 85
14 F 100 79
42 F 100 83
42 F 100 83
56 F 100 91
60 F 95 95
61 F 91 63
62 F 82 80
66 F 92 63
M 95 86
62 M 91 81

Update: So far our data show the average recognition score as 93.9 (above the average proclaimed at the BBC website) and the average temporal score as 80.82 (also above the proclaimed average). What is more interesting is that only 3 of the 11 people tested had temporal scores and recognition scores that were 2 percentage points (or less) apart. Two of those are artists, although one is 14 and the other 60. The rest averaged a spread of 17.5 (the average spread is 24). Other than that we haven't figured out the data. If you have any ideas, let us know!
