This weeks
unplugyourkids theme was insects. The girls are teaching a collage class for elementary students later this month so we thought we'd try collaging some insects -- here are two samples of the collages that the girls will use when they teach.

And here are some other samples they'll use.

P.S. We were able to use some of the materials from the Free Time Kit that we got from
Shawn in one of her giveaways. By the way, the kit was awesome!
I am so glad you could use some of the kit already! Fun projects too!
ReplyDeleteWe really wish we had a resource around here like you do -- the items in the package were great. We contemplated using them all to make a 3D person. We still may do that with what is left. Thanks again! We're thinking about what type of give away to offer since we have been the beneficiary of yours. Keep visiting and tell your friends about us! C
ReplyDeleteExcellent collages and how wonderful that the girls are going to share their talents with younger children.
ReplyDeleteThose look great! We'll have to think about giving those a try.
ReplyDeleteThose are fantastic!! I really love the 2nd one :) I'm going to have to write this onto my ever expanding to do list *grin*. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteC - Thanks to everyone for your nice comments! We've enjoyed exploring your blogs. Come back again!
ReplyDeleteFun projects! I like collage - no rules!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful collages! I like the second one too. Reminds me of the Leo Lionni books that we love. Also can recycle junk mail this way!
ReplyDeleteThanks for reminding us of Leo Leonni. The girls can add him to the list of authors they will show the kids when they teach collage later this month. They'll also use the books by Eric Carle and Bill Martin's Chica Chica Boom Boom.
